The festive period can be draining so I have 3 exercises that are amazing for your soul.

All you need is a pen, notepad and some quiet time and away you go!

Exercise 1 – Your Very Own Best Friend Letter

Imagine your best friend had come to you explaining all the problems and negative things that are going on for them, but the things that they are telling you about are all the same negative things going on in your life right now. Imagine they tell you everything, down to the very nitty gritty and have completely downloaded on to you.

Write a letter to that friend with the advice, praise and encouragement you would give to them in response.

Exercise 2 – Gratitude Letter

Write a letter to someone who you feel very grateful for having in your life.

Explain why you feel so grateful for having them in your life and how they may have helped you or taught you something important. Then post this letter to this person and let them know they will be receiving something in the post from you. Or even better deliver it by hand.

Exercise 3 – Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the most powerful tool for moving forwards in life, because if you are still holding onto guilt, resentment and regret, then it will be impossible to create a truly happy and healthy mind, body and spirit.

Is there anyone you would like to forgive? Maybe a failed relationship, failed business, an event or a person. Maybe you need to forgive yourself?

I would like you to contemplate who you would like to forgive.

Once you’ve identified who.

Write them a heartfelt letter.

Write the letter and hold onto it for a few days and consider whether you’re ready to send them the letter yet.
