It’s been scientifically proven that being kind can make you happier.

But we don’t need science to confirm this. Think about a time when you last helped a stranger. How did it make you feel when you walked away?

At the very least, I imagine useful, worthy. Probably happier.

Acting kind towards another will instantly make you feel better as a person. Just smiling at a stranger can make you feel better!

Quite simply, being kind, changes your mind set to a positive mode and by changing your mind set to a positive mode you will attract more positive things to you.

In a nutshell, “Like Attracts Like”. If you feel good, you will attract more good things & feelings.

Also, what about the person you have been kind too? How does your kindness affect them?

Remember a time during deep despair when someone was kind to you. May be you didn’t even deserve their kindness but they were kind regardless.

How did that make you feel? How does it make you feel now?

If you need more persuading here are the reasons why you should choose to be kind:

  1. Better for your health

By being kind you are going to feel better about yourself. This in itself is enough to trigger a whole heap of physiological and physical benefits such as: stress reduction, release of feel good dopamine, oxytocin (ultimately reducing blood pressure), reduction in anxiety and depression.

The list goes on.

  1. Gives you a Natural High

When a moment next arises to be kind TRY IT!

How does it make you feel?

The act of being kind will release serotonin in your brain the neurotransmitter responsible for making us feel good and happy.

  1. Make you more Successful

People will trust you more if you are nicer, resulting in better relationships at work which can ultimately mean more success. Also, stating the obvious, the nicer you are the more likely colleagues will help you out when needed.

  1. Good Karma

It simply feels good to be kind and so it should because it’s the right thing to do.

If you believe in Karma then kindness is a necessity not an option.

What you give out. You get back.
