Injury Therapy with Ben Fedrick
In today’s podcast I talk to injury therapist, Ben Fedrick all about what he does and he helps his clients recover from chronic injuries. He gives us some amazing rehabilitation stories and his top 10 tips for you the listener to prevent injuring yourself!
Ben qualified with a 2.1 in Sports Science (BSc Hons) in 2011 and received a level 4 diploma in Sports Massage in 2014, completing this course gave Ben motivation to learn more advanced anatomy, a path which led Ben to Neurokinetic Therapy, Anatomy in Motion and Primal Movement courses and qualifications. A self-proclaimed perfectionist constantly wanting to improve his practice and already vast skill set.
Having worked in the industry since leaving university in 2011, Ben began his working life as a personal trainer at Energie Fitness, upon the realisation that helping people to move better was of far more interest to him than aiding them in their weight loss battles, Ben began on a path to add skills to his tool set to help combat chronic pain. In 2014 he founded ‘Ben Fedrick Injury Therapy’ and the rest is history, since 2014 Ben has helped many individuals overcome battles against a variety of conditions.
Outside of work Ben is a keen footballer, playing 3-4 time per week and can often be found rehabilitating his own injuries, of which there are many. He also enjoys reading (fact not fiction) and favourite titles include ‘When Breath becomes Air’ by Paul Kalanithi and ‘Sapiens’ by Yuval Noah Harari amongst many others.
