So, what can you expect from this book?

You can expect basic explanations as to why you are asked to do certain things when you meditate (I find explanations generally lacking) and 8 simple meditation tutorials that you can get started with straight away.

Most of them are free, although some you will need to pay for (although not much).

At the beginning of the book I also:

  1. Take you through the basics of mediation – the facts.
  2. I explain the different types of meditations.
  3. I tell you to forget about the different types of meditation (more on this later)!!
  4. I then give you the 8 meditation techniques that I use and that work for me.

I’m giving you an opportunity to dip your toe in the meditation pool and hopefully find a meditation method that helps to quiet your mind.

    For me meditating or practicing mindfulness is always difficult as I have a busy job and busy life, and after reading Gemma’s book on the basics and following the small steps I have now incorporated her tips in to my daily routine.
